Thailand Ministry of Public Health has issued a new notification on 16 July 2020 stating the classification of medical devices, and the medical devices that manufacturers and importers are required to register.
The classification is consistent with the ASEAN regulation of medical devices and is based on the level of risk that may cause harm or impact on public health.
FDA will have the right to make the final decision regarding classification according to this notification.
